All About Riverwood Farm Tasmania

We bought the farm in Tasmania a couple of years ago, moving from the heat of Brisbane to the blissfully cool climate of Tassie.  We're located in the West Coast, close to Strahan and only 1km from Ocean Beach and the amazing Henty Dunes.  We have 170 acres of which 100 is temperate rainforest.

We are completely off-grid, using solar power (and a trusty generator) for our power, tank water for our water and an old, but working wood burning stove to heat our water.  So far, we have two ancient dogs, one nutty cat, three hens and a rooster.  We usually get a couple of eggs a day which is plenty for us.

We have fenced the front paddock to keep the wallabies out and this is slowly being turned into a market garden and small nursery so that we can provide fresh fruit and veg and plants and seedlings to customers.  The first project was to build two raised beds and put a hoop house over them.
