The first raised beds and hoophouse

Well, the first two raised beds are up and filled with soil.  I have added minerals and lime and covered them with black plastic to ensure that all the weeds are killed.  These beds won't be planted until early next spring so there's plenty of time for the weeds to break down.

We are putting the hoophouse over these two beds which will provide much needed shelter to raise some vegie seedlings.

It is very wet here on the West Coast and we are still getting frosts in mid October so the hoophouse is essential to getting any tomatoes this year.

Still have to put the top support and greenhouse film up but we need a calm day for that.  Bit windy today!
